Benet Slay and Simon Litherland have emerged as the latest casualties of Diageo’s far-reaching management restructuring.

Litherland (pictured), a former guest editor of The Grocer, was GB managing director of the Guinness brewer. Slay was head of the North European business.

Both roles were cut in the latest phase of a major reorganisation, announced in May, designed to ramp up the company’s focus on emerging markets.

The duo join former international chief Stuart Fletcher, who left the business in May, in heading for the exits.

The news comes after Andrew Cowan was named country director for Diageo GB earlier this month.
