West Country cheesemaker Alvis Brothers has ramped up its exports to 25% of volume sold, from just 4% four years ago.
Alvis, which produces organic and non-organic cheese, started exporting 10 years ago. It now exports to markets from North America, Europe and Asia through to the Middle East.
London 2012, the Diamond Jubilee and the royal wedding had raised the UK’s profile abroad, said Ian Bugg, sales and marketing director.
