Aldis has manoeuvred the health food retailer from a gloomy chain by leaping on health crazes and focusing on exclusive deals with must-have ranges (and NPD that copies them). A combination of refurbs and expansion continues apace, though Aldis upset suppliers last month when he demanded a cost reduction of 5%, a move branded “greedy”.
