The cream of the drinks industry will face off across a raft of new categories in The Grocer Drink Awards 2018.

Drinks brands are now again invited to submit their products for The Grocer’s unique two-step judging process, which will see their tipples scrutinised by consumers and industry experts alike.

It’s the only retail awards scheme covering branded and own label excellence, and this year we’ve added awards for the top independent, multiple and symbol/wholesale buying teams, as well as for the year’s best booze ad campaign and best promotion.

“Expanding the Grocer Drink Awards gives us the opportunity to celebrate success across the wider drinks industry,” said The Grocer editor Adam Leyland. “There is fantastic work being done in buying, ranging and selling booze, as well as some of the tremendous marketing, advertising and promotion in the sector, and winning one of our new awards will be the best way to shout about it.”

Product categories are open for entry now, and new categories will open over the coming fortnight. Entries close on 9 July, and winners will be announced at a ceremony on 5 November held at the prestigious County Hall, Westminster.

After the awards, product entries will receive a unique feedback report compiled by research experts Cambridge Market Research, including vital information on how consumers perceive the brand and data measured against a range of category norms to benchmark performance against competitors.

Last year’s winners included Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cider, Diageo’s Haig Clubman, Stowford Press Low-Alcohol Cider and Portobello Road Gin.
