Easier to open Weetabix with new plastic inner wrappers

Weetabix has replaced its plastic inner wrappers with a new paper one to make the cereal easier to open and seal.

The wrap has been introduced following a trial this year during which more than 1,200 Weetabix Facebook fans shared their thoughts on the new wrap, with 85% of feedback positive.

The polyethylene-lined wrap tore more evenly to prevent the biscuits crumbling, said Weetabix, which last used a paper-based wrap in the 1990s.
