Morrisons has appointed Andrew Pleasance as grocery director responsible for household, health and beauty, and ambient grocery.
Morrisons said Pleasance had a profound understanding of trading. Pleasance was most recently home and leisure director at Morrisons.
He has also been design and display director and stores regional director at Morrisons.
Morrisons has also expanded the role of Martyn Jones, the senior trading director, to include a focus on the in-store pharmacy operation and supply chain. He will continue to retain overall responsibility for grocery and beers, wines and spirits.
The retailer has also promoted trading manager Martin Weeks to the position of home and leisure controller.
In his new role Weeks will be responsible for further developing the category as complementary to Morrisons’ food offer, promoting sales and maintaining quality and value for money.
