Alpro has launched lighter variants of its UHT chocolate and vanilla milks following the success of the standard versions of the products.

Alpro Chocolate Light and Alpro Vanilla Light (containing 94 and 76 calories respectively) goes exclusively into Tesco on 2 July, (rsp: £1.19 for a one litre carton).

Consumers were frequently on the lookout for the lightest options, said Alpro commercial director John Allaway. “These products tick the boxes for those consumers looking for an even lighter indulgence.”

Alpro was confident the launches would help it continue to buck the downward trend in UHT milks and continue its growth in the category, he added.
