Some of the UK’s biggest wholesalers feature among the 75 Chefs’ Choice Awards finalists in a celebration of the highest standards of foodservice.

Booker, Brakes, Bidfood and Bestway all feature in the shortlist, which spans 27 categories including bread, desserts, cheese, meat, ready meals, free-from and vegetarian.

Booker is well represented in the list, alongside a strong performance for Brakes and Bidfood.

The Chefs’ Choice Awards first launched two years ago to recognise the best suppliers and product manufacturers in foodservice, including own label and branded suppliers.

A judging panel of development chefs, food technologists, nutritionists and food journalists whittled down the entrants over the course of two days earlier this month.

The full shortlist is available on the Chefs’ Choice Awards website.

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Haymarket Hotel in London on 27 February.
