Entries are now open for The Convenience Awards 2026.
Taking place on Wednesday 11 March 2026 at The Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, the ceremony is one of the highlights of the industry calendar, and sees the entire convenience community gather under one roof for a night of networking, celebration and recognition.
Brought to you by Convenience Store, Lumina Intelligence and The Grocer, these awards celebrate the entire convenience community – from stores with the self-entry categories to head offices with categories powered by Lumina Intelligence insight.
Convenience Store editor Aidan Fortune called on the sector to shout about the great work they are doing and enter the awards. “These are the awards that retailers want to be a part of and want to win. The competition to be shortlisted and win is tremendous, with so many amazing stores involved.
“At a time when retailers are under pressure, it’s inspiring to see how many are innovating and thriving all while serving their communities. Enter now and show off what is great about your business. Provide us with as much detail as possible about why your store should be a finalist at the awards in Liverpool.”
This year’s awards will have a focus on the people that make convenience great, with new categories added to recognise and celebrate those working in the sector. One of the new categories for The Convenience Awards 2026 is Store Team of the Year.

“Stores are nothing without the teams working with them so we wanted to help retailers recognise and celebrate the hardworking teams in convenience,” Fortune added. “I encourage retailers who are proud of their store teams to enter this category and give them the opportunity of a night to remember!”
Another new category for 2026 is Rising Star of the Year: Symbol Group/Fascia Head Office. Fortune said: “It’s important to recognise the entire convenience community and that includes those from symbol groups and franchise head offices that are supporting retailers. This is open to those that have started working in the convenience sector in the past three years and are already blazing a trail in the industry.”
The Convenience Awards will also be celebrating a retailer who has made an Outstanding Contribution to Convenience over the past 12 months. If there is a retailer you would like to put forward for consideration by the panel, please enter their details below.
“The Convenience Awards is an opportunity to have your store recognised as one of the best in the country. It’s time to be proud of the hard work you and your team are doing. Enter the awards today and show off what makes your store great.”
As well as these new categories, the Retailers’ Retailer of the Year award and the top prize in the sector, Convenience Retailer of the Year, are also up for grabs.
Deadline for entries is Tuesday 15 September 2025.
