Alana Spencer

The Apprentice winner Alana Spencer is on the hunt for brand ambassdors to sell her Ridiculously Rich by Alana brand of cakes and brownies.

The 25-year-old entrepreneur, who won the BBC series in December and secured a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar, will begin recruiting today for her franchise model.

Spencer is looking for candidates who are “passionate about food” to sell her produce from Wales to their local farm shops, markets and delis.

Each franchisee will have a designated geographical area and their income will depend on sales, with the potential to reach £1,200 gross income a week according to Lord Sugar.

The produce will be delivered to the doors of successful candidates, who will receive training and support to help them build a relationship with local food outlets.

Spencer said the Ridiculously Rich brand of cakes and brownies, which include classics such as rocky road and a dark chocolate brownie, were intended to fill a gap in the market for “high end but home made” products. “The selling point is that they are just the best variations of these products out there,” she said.

Candidates can apply on the Ridiculously Rich site from tonight onwards.
