Innocent Drinks founder Richard Reed has bought a stake in food testing company Geneius.
The Newcastle-based tester specialises in using DNA to test for bacterial contaminants in food and drink.
“Geneius has transformed the way we screen our drinks manufacturing process at Innocent,” Reed said. “It has saved our company hundreds of thousands of pounds already.
“We have implemented the Geneius approach throughout our supplier chain and I firmly believe that this is the future in food and drinks testing for contaminants.”
