Marlow Foods has appointed Guy Longworth European marketing director for meat substitute brand Quorn, after the purchase of the company from AstraZeneca by Montagu Private Equity in May. Longworth's job will be to reinforce Quorn's position as a mainstream, healthy eating brand in the UK and Europe and his responsibilities include advertising, media, NPD, direct marketing and PR. Peter Banks, European commercial director of Quorn, previously oversaw sales and marketing functions. Banks will retain overall responsibility for sales for the brand as European sales director.
Longworth moves from Kellogg where he was marketing director for the UK and Ireland. Before that he worked for Procter & Gamble and Kraft.
Nick Hughes, chief executive at Marlow Foods, said: "We have a great team that is passionate about the business. We are confident they will help strengthen our brand, consumer and innovation focus across our targeted markets."
