Samworth Brothers anoints Steve Murrells to take the reins from Simon Wookey

Murrells is a grocery veteran and brings decades of experience to the owner of Ginsters, Soreen and Higgid. He has held a series of senior roles on both the retail and supply side of the industry, including spells as CEO of Hilton Food Group, the Co-op and Tulip
Samworth Brothers has appointed Steve Murrells as its new boss to succeed the outgoing Simon Wookey, who is leaving the food manufacturing giant after eight years.
