Pink Lady apples is gearing up for a new lunchtime-focused marketing campaign to boost sales this summer.

The campaign called 'Reclaim the sunshine this lunchtime' will be aimed at office workers, with a branded Mini Clubman touring the UK and visiting offices to distribute samples and "recreate a summer picnic atmosphere" with deckchairs, grass and a branded trailer.

Marketing company Coregeo, which holds the Pink Lady licence in the UK, is also launching a microsite, pinkladysunshine.co.uk, which will feature competitions to win a trip to South Africa, a key growing region for the apple. In addition, there will be print and online ads and social media activity.

Coregeo MD Andy Macdonald said consumers increasingly expected campaigns to provide "multiple touch points", adding he believed campaigns such as this were "the future for fresh produce marketing".
