Florette

Its Sandwich Mix and Winter Mix both have an rsp of £1

Florette has unveiled two new prepared salad bags in a bid to increase its seasonal offering.

It is set to launch its Winter Mix (rsp: £1/110g) and Sandwich Mix (rsp: £1/120g) at the end of September in response to the success of the Summer Salad Mix it debuted earlier this year.

Following its research showing sandwiches accounted for 30% of salad eating occasions, the brand will launch its blend of batavia, green cos and spinach leaves which are “crunchy, mild and flat” and designed to sit well in sandwiches and wraps.

The Winter Mix bag will feature ruby chard, baby spinach, red baby lettuce, grated beetroot and carrot.

“Our insight found that consumers are looking for new salad options that are fresh, convenient and nutritious all year round - not just during summer and not just as a meal accompaniment,” said Florette brand manager Rebecca Walker.

“As the winter season approaches, consumers are in need of a seasonal option to replace our successful Summer Mix and brighten up winter meals. Similarly, many of our consumers lead busy lives - our new Sandwich Mix is designed to be a hassle-free way to add a delicious fresh flavour to your sandwich.”
