Aldi is calling on the public to help it identify the best locations for new stores across the UK.
The discounter wants members of the public to submit suggestions for its property team to review as it makes a previously announced £370m investment in opening new stores this year.
A similar call last year has led to progress toward opening stores near Pendle Drive, Liverpool, and Hanworth and Willesden in London, which were among priority locations identified, according to Aldi.
Aldi opened about 40 stores across the UK in 2025, ending the year with about 1,080. It plans to open about another 40 this year and eventually grow its UK estate to 1,500.
“We know how important it is for people to have access to affordable, high-quality food close to where they live, which is why we’re asking our shoppers to help us identify the communities that would benefit most from a new Aldi store,” said Jonathan Neale, Aldi UK MD of national real estate.
“Opening new stores in these areas means we can bring great value to more customers, while also creating jobs and offering industry-leading pay.”

Aldi offers the highest entry-level store worker national hourly pay rate of all UK supermarkets, at £13.50 an hour.
