The changes amount to an extra 750,000 online slots per year

Co-op has introduced early morning delivery slots to cater to families who need emergency lunchbox items in the “back-to-school scramble”.

Delivery will be available from 7am, two hours earlier than usual, from 1,200 participating UK stores.

The change amounts to an extra 750,000 online slots per year. Orders can be placed on Co-op’s own online shop or through its partner platforms Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo, for delivery within 60 minutes.

Co-op’s member pricing, deals and promotions will also be available, including 3-for-2 offers and Aldi Price Match products.

Current 3-for-2 offers include Nestlé Munch Bunch Double Up Strawberry & Vanilla 6-pack, Cheestrings Cheddar 4-pack 80g, and Cheestrings Twisted 4-pack 80g.

“Every parent knows the feeling of getting everything ready for the new school year and then realising that something is missing,” said Co-op quick commerce trading director Gary Kisby.

“When life is busy enough, whether it is back to school or getting back into your usual work routine, quick online home delivery can bring forgotten lunchbox items to your door in minutes, giving families a convenient way to avoid last minute stressful situations.”
