Lidl Plus - Click, Reserve, Collect

Jassine Ouali oversaw the launch of a middle aisle click & collect service for loyalty scheme members earlier this year

Lidl GB chief customer officer Jassine Ouali is leaving the discounter’s UK division to take the same role at Lidl France.

Ouali came to Lidl GB from Lidl Germany in early 2024. He was Lidl GB chief operating officer until earlier this year, when he took the chief customer officer role.

Lidl GB created the chief customer role in 2024, with the remit of marketing, promotions, customer insights and customer relationship management.

Ouali has overseen the launch of a middle aisle click & collect service for loyalty scheme members, the rollout of self-checkouts to stores in Scotland and Lidl’s foray onto TikTok Shop selling Dubai chocolate bars.

The initiatives were among those that helped Lidl win Grocer of the Year at the Grocer Gold Awards earlier this month.

Lidl said a successor to Ouali had not yet been appointed.

Writing on LinkedIn last week, Ouali said: “These past 18 months have been the most demanding of my career but also the most fulfilling. I’ve grown as a leader and as a person. And more importantly, we have achieved exceptional results together, in record time.”

His last day at Lidl GB was 17 July.
