Omoss will donate 4.4% of its profits to ocean conservation charity Project Zero

A soft drinks brand claiming to be the UK’s first “ready-to-drink sea moss beverage” is set to launch next month.

Omoss is made from hand-harvested Irish sea moss and no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. It offered “a natural boost of vitamins and minerals, with a refreshing taste”, according to the brand.

Bottles in Pure, Mango and Pomegranate will roll out via DTC from June (rsp: £4.50/330ml).

Sea moss was “revered for its rich health benefits, including immune support, gut health, thyroid function, and skin nourishment”, said Omoss.

The ingredient “had its roots in Irish and Caribbean health culture as a strengthening remedy… providing an abundance of micronutrients including iron, magnesium, zinc and calcium whilst being low in calories and fat”, the brand added.

“We created Omoss to simplify wellness and encourage people to think more deeply about what they consume,” said Omoss founder Marley Finn. “Coming from a background in professional sport, honest, natural nutrition has always been central to my daily routine. Experiencing first-hand the benefits of sea moss inspired the decision to bring the Omoss world to life.

“Sea moss products have typically been difficult to enjoy,” Finn continued. “Finding one that didn’t make you wince was near impossible. We worked closely with leading food scientists to refine the taste, while preserving the powerful natural benefits.

“At Omoss, we wanted to move away from artificial ingredients and get back to nature, creating something elevated, highly effective, genuinely delicious, and designed to fit effortlessly into busy lifestyles.”

The brand has committed to donate 4.4% of its profits to ocean conservation charity Project Zero.
