
Yoplait has launched a Mango Pineapple variant to its Yop range.
The flavour (rsp: £2/825g) joins Strawberry and Raspberry and offers a “unique tropical fruit proposition” to the dairy drinks category.
The brand said that as the only option in this flavour, it was confident it “will bring new shoppers into the brand”.
The SKU is launching into Tesco then later Iceland, and is being supported with shopper marketing and social media activity to drive awareness and trial.
It builds on the success of the launch of the larger formats in its other flavours, allowing the brand to target sharing occasions and families.
Yoplait said flavoured yoghurt drinks were growing at 15% in value, meanwhile Yop was growing at a rate of 22%.
It believes the launch will bring incremental sales into the category.
