Walkers is revamping its Sensations crisps and adding two new flavours in a bid to revive the brand.

Value sales of Sensations have fallen 9.2% over the past year [Nielsen 52w/e 25 June 2011], and Walkers is hoping a refreshed pack design and the rollout of new Latin American flavours will turn around the £57.5m brand. The new look will feature large, colourful images of ingredients and is designed to reflect the premium credentials.

New flavours Smoked Monterrey Chilli with Goats Cheese and Mexican Fiery Sweet Chipotle launch next week to tap into summer demand for sharing products (rsp: £1.92/150g), and the latter is also available in a 40g bag (rsp: 67p). They join Walkers' seven-strong range, which includes Thai Sweet Chilli and Caramelised Onion & Balsamic Vinegar. The revamp will be supported with sampling and a digital media campaign.
