Senior figures from Waitrose, Greggs and Itsu will reveal how to exploit the exponential growth of the food-to-go market at MCA’s conference early next year.

Market insights expert MCA will host its food-to-go conference at the Ham Yard Hotel in London on 7 February 2018 in conjunction with The Grocer.

MCA predicts that the food-to-go market will grow by as much as 3.9% in 2018, more than double the 1.6% increase predicted for the total eating out market.

Confirmed speakers include Waitrose’s first foodservice director Simon Burdess, who will reveal the supermarket’s plans to increase its in-store foodservice options.

Greggs customer director Hannah Squirrell will examine the success of its rewards loyalty app in placing the customer at the heart of its business.

Itsu founder Julian Metcalfe will divulge how it has become a £100m turnover business, his plans for further growth and Itsu’s launch into the US.

MCA will also flag up the key findings from its 2018 UK food-to-go market report, which encompasses consumer behaviour changes, new product trends, and discloses the key drivers of market growth.
