The Grocer is kicking off a free two-part webinar series looking at how brands and own label ranges can adapt and thrive in the cost of living crisis.

The first webinar – How can fmcg brands survive the cost of living crisis? – will air on Thursday September 22 at 11am, and look at how brands can rival own label as inflation hits home. Our expert panel will discuss to what extent brands should absorb extra costs, the role of NPD and marketing, and the impact of price promotions.

The panel will include Alex Angel, head of UK sales at Dash Water; Alex Kapadia, managing director of Freedom Convenience Ltd; Alex Macgregor, head of advanced analytics at NielsenIQ; and Ben Davies, founder of Vypr.

The second webinar – How will own label evolve in the cost of living crisis? – will air on Thursday September 29 at 11am. In the discussion, our expert panel will identify the challenges facing retailer ranges, as well as the role of value, standard and premium tiers.

The panel will feature Daniel Wright, UK senior strategic insight director at IRI; Alex Kapadia, managing director of Freedom Convenience Ltd; Paul Stainton, UK partner at private label consultancy IPLC; and Ben Davies, founder of Vypr.

Both webinars will be chaired by The Grocer managing editor Emma Weinbren.

It is free to register for both webinars, and delegates will be able to submit questions for the panel this weekend via the brands and own label registration pages. The webinars will also be available to rewatch after the live date.
