Farmfoods beats big four in store survey
When it comes to the supermarkets, frozen food discounter Farmfoods is second only to Waitrose as far as customer experience goes, claims a new survey.
The cross-industry survey, by Temkin Ratings, asked 3,000 consumers to rate recent store visits on functional, accessible and emotional criteria. Waitrose topped the supermarket list in second (John Lewis came first), followed by Farmfoods (in fourth) and Iceland (in fifth). Tesco came last (in 12th).
Sales jumped 11.1% at Farmfoods in the 12 weeks to 25 December [Kantar Worldpanel] and it is currently fifth in The Grocer’s Top 50 ranking of the UK’s biggest indies, with sales of £484.1m.
