The last Somerfield store in Bristol is to close next week, bringing an end to a 137-year association with the city.

Somerfield was formed in Bristol in 1875 under the name JH Mills and had its HQ in the city from 1984, when it was known as Gateway, until Somerfield was acquired by The Co-operative Group in 2009.

The store, in the Broadwalk Shopping Centre, is still trading under the Somerfield fascia and will close on 18 February.
