Jimmy's milkshakes

The new products join Jimmy’s existing Iced Chocolate Milk variant to form a three-strong milkshake range

Jimmy’s Iced Coffee is to expand into milkshakes with the launch of two new flavoured milk products.

Iced Cereal Milk and Iced Black Forest Gateau Milk have launched nationwide in Sainsbury’s (rsp: £2/500ml). They join Jimmy’s existing Iced Chocolate Milk variant to form a three-strong milkshake range.

The duo promise to “take familiar favourites and give them the Jimmy’s twist”.

Iced Cereal Milk takes inspiration from “the sweet, frosted milk left at the bottom of the cereal bowl”.

It was “just at home as a breakfast treat as it is an afternoon pick-me-up or a late-night fridge raid”, said Jimmy’s.

Iced Black Forest Gateau Milk, meanwhile, takes cues from “the classic retro dessert” and promises to bring together “flavours of rich chocolate cake, juicy cherry and thick cream”.

Both products were designed to tap into growing demand for nostalgic food & drink products, said Jimmy’s. Some 70% of consumers said food and drink that reminds them of their past makes them feel good, it added, citing Mintel survey data.

The expansion comes with the Milkshakes and Flavoured Milk category currently worth £505m and growing 15% year on year [NIQ 52 w/e 19 September 2026].

“Jimmy’s has always been about doing things a little differently, and we think there’s a real opportunity to bring that same ‘let’s go!’ energy to milkshakes,” said Russell Goldman, MD for breakthrough brands at Carlsberg Britvic. “There are plenty of familiar flavours out there, but we think the category could do with mixing things up a bit.

“Cereal Milk and Black Forest Gateau Milk are exactly the kind of flavours we love at Jimmy’s – familiar enough that you know what you’re getting, but with a little twist that makes you want to give them a go.

“For retailers, expanding Jimmy’s into milkshakes gives us the chance to bring the brand to more shoppers and more occasions, while giving the category two flavours that are a little bit different from the usual suspects.”
