This year reaching the milestone of 30k followers, The Grocer’s Instagram feed has become a destination for consumers to seek out the newest foodie launches. Here are the 10 most popular from 2021

10. Kopparberg Mixed Fruit Tropical

Cider brand Kopparberg made it into our top 10 with this fruity little number, which landed in the big four and Co-op in April. The limited-edition flavour with its eye-catching can had more than 900 fans double-tapping.

9. Smirnoff Raspberry Crush

Up next is the second and final booze product in our list: a Raspberry Crush vodka from Smirnoff. The berry-flavoured spirit hit our feed in the sunnier month of July, causing one commenter to declare ‘summer is here!’

8. Babybel Light Cheese, Apple & Grapes snack pack

Although many users questioned the amount of plastic used on this product, dubbing it ‘unnecessary’, ‘wasteful’ and even ‘irresponsible’, hundreds hit the heart button for Babybel’s convenient snack pack, which landed in Tesco chillers in June.

6. New York Bakery Co Sourdough Deli Bagels

The first post to take us over the 1,000 likes mark was New York Bakery Co’s ‘posh’ new bagels, which it added to its Deli range in February. The addition of trendy sourdough earned the product a whole lotta love from our followers.

5. Mr Kipling Chocolate Tarts

There’s nothing like a Mr Kipling launch to get our followers double tapping. In fact, this is not the only product from the brand to feature in our top 10. These tarts filled with chocolate mousse and topped with chocolate icing and sprinkles were liked by upwards of 1,000 fans in April.

4. Bodega Tapas For Two

In March, when outdoor dining was still Brits’ only option at hospitality venues, this tapas selection clearly struck a chord with those hungry for restaurant experiences. The sharing box from Bodega contained enough Spanish meats, cheeses, nibbles and hot dishes to feed two people. This was also our most commented-on post, with 161 fans having their say about the product.

‘Omg is this real????’ asked one commenter of this  fat-free cookie dough dessert, which was heralded by another fan as ‘an elite Müllerlight yoghurt’ in the comments. The product makes it into our top three with 1,126 likes.

1. Quavers Salt & Vinegar and Prawn Cocktail

Although we only post new launches on our Instagram feed, the most popular product on our feed this year was not brand-new. In fact, it was Walkers’ relaunch of its much-missed Salt & Vinegar and Prawn Cocktail Quavers that made it to the top of our list. The January post gained 1,419 likes and 124 comments – the second-highest amount behind the Bodega Tapas For Two.
