Domino’s has opened its fifth supply chain centre (SCC5) to boost capacity and support long-term growth.

Located in Avonmouth near Bristol, the new site will support an additional 1,000 deliveries per week to stores across the south west and Wales. Once fully optimised, the new centre will support up to 600 stores.

Without this additional headroom, the pizza giant said its existing supply chain would have reached capacity within the next two years.

Domino’s has invested around £25m in the Avonmouth centre to unlock this additional capacity.

The site will transition to next-generation automation in early 2027, introducing advanced handling systems that increase accuracy, efficiency and consistency across the network. These technologies will also help drive further efficiency in loading and unloading boxes.

“SCC5 is an important investment in our infrastructure, giving us capacity, efficiency, and the resilience we need to support our growing business,” said Domino’s Pizza Group chief supply chain officer Peter Trundley.

“It adds meaningful headroom as we continue to expand, while automation will help us operate more efficiently and maintain the consistently high service levels our franchise partners rely on.

“By strengthening the flexibility of our network, SCC5 ensures we are well positioned to support long-term growth and continue delivering for customers across the UK and Ireland.”
