Fiona Fox

Fiona Fox will join in the autumn from Inspired Pet Nutrition, where she has served as chief commercial officer for the past three years

Yorkshire Tea owner Taylors of Harrogate has appointed Fiona Fox as its new managing director.

Fox succeeds Andy Brown, who has led the business for 17 years and will become chair of the board next year.

During his tenure, Brown has helped Yorkshire Tea to become the market-leading black tea brand and Taylors the leading roast and ground coffee brand.

Fox will join in the autumn from Inspired Pet Nutrition, where she has served as chief commercial officer for the past three years. Before that, she held senior roles at Mars and Procter & Gamble.

Brown said Fox combined “outstanding commercial and leadership experience with a genuine appreciation for what makes our business special”.

“She has an impressive track record of leading well-loved brands, and I’m confident she will be a great addition to our leadership team as we continue to build on the success of our brands,” he added.

Fox will arrive with the company experiencing slowing growth, with revenue up just 2% last year amid a challenging consumer backdrop.

Its brands remain strong, however, with Yorkshire Tea growing its market share in black tea to over 40%.
