Morrisons ‘More Card Prices’ have rolled out to Deliveroo customers who are members of the supermarket’s loyalty scheme.

The member pricing rollout follows the integration of the supermarket’s Morrisons More loyalty scheme on to the aggregator app earlier this year. Customers can earn More Points on Deliveroo to redeem on purchases from Morrisons supermarkets.

As per More Points earned elsewhere, once a customer has saved 5,000 More Points, they will receive a Morrisons Fiver, which can be redeemed on a future shop in Morrisons supermarkets or on Morrisons.com.

The latest move sees member prices displayed in-app, once a customers has inputted their Morrisons More card number either on the menu page before placing an order or at the checkout stage before making a payment.

The card number is then saved to the customer’s Deliveroo account for future orders.

Member prices on Deliveroo was launched today with a range of discounts – for example 49% off Morrisons Hayfever & Allergy Relief Tablets 14 pack; 39% off Morrisons Still Yorkshire Vale Spring Water 6x500ml; and 25% off Morrisons Chocolate Large Eclairs two-pack.

“We introduced More Points to customers who order their Morrisons groceries from Deliveroo a few months ago and have had really positive feedback,” said Charlotte Exell, director of online at Morrisons. “We wanted to provide further benefits for our More Card customers so are delighted to be bringing More Card Prices to those customers so they can make the most of their More Card, however they choose to shop with us.”

The Morrisons partnership with Deliveroo has grown to cover around 400 supermarkets and 500 convenience stores since it was forged in 2020. Morrisons is also a supplier to several of Deliveroo’s rapid on-demand, delivery-only Deliveroo Hop dark stores.

“We know our customers are turning to Deliveroo for groceries more and more often, as ordering on-demand becomes embedded into weekly shopping routines,” said Suzy McClintock, VP of new verticals at Deliveroo.

“Introducing member pricing for Morrisons More Card customers is part of our ongoing commitment to offer consumers the best value for on demand shops, enabling them to access exclusive discounts on a wide variety of high-quality products from Morrisons, delivered to their doorstep in as little as 20 minutes,” she added.

The ability for aggregator app users to earn retailer loyalty points and access member pricing is becoming increasingly common.

Earlier this year, Boots anounced customers could earn Advantage Card points on purchases made through Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

Co-op began offering in-app access to Member Prices on Uber Eats in February last year, a UK supermarket first for a delivery aggregator app.

Since last month, Waitrose shoppers are able to access offers on grocery orders via Uber Eats, after the supermarket rolled out loyalty perks to the on-demand platform for the first time.
