The snack bars have hit Amazon and Ocado

Pip & Nut has continued its push into snacks, unveiling a range of protein bars.

Debuting in Peanut Butter, Caramel Almond and Dark Chocolate Peanut, the bars are made up of crispy pieces, crunchy seeds, roasted nuts and nut butter caramel.

They are free from palm oil and provide 10g of protein each.

Singles (rsp: £1.95/45g-46g) and multipacks of three (rsp: £3.95) have hit Amazon and Ocado; they will launch on Pip & Nut’s webstore on 24 September before rolling into Tesco and Waitrose in October.

“We’re so excited to get our Protein Bars out there,” said Pip & Nut founder Pip Murray.

“I really believe these are a game-changer. Let’s face it, this category is full of bars that taste like nothing or are crammed with ingredients you’ve never heard of – or both.

“Just like we’ve done in the nut butter aisle, we’re here to change that standard for good,” Murray added.

Speaking to The Grocer in May, Murray explained Pip & Nut would focus on expanding its portfolio of snacking products.

“About 20% of our business will be made up of snacking this year… and I think by the end of next year, it will make up about a third,” she said.

Pip & Nut’s snacking lineup already includes chocolate nut butter cups, launched in 2019 and rebooted last summer to use cocoa from Tony’s Open Chain.

Last summer, it added a trio of peanut butter Stuffed oat bars: Original, Chocolate and Apple & Cinnamon. An almond butter Stuffed bar was added in July.
