Spam Chopped Pork & Ham has announced the launch of a Gochujang variety into Asda.
Spam Gochujang (rsp: £3.24/ 340g) contains a shoulder pork and leg ham with fermented spicy red chilli paste.
The paste provides a “blend of heat, sweetness and fermented umami”.
The brand said it was capitalising on the growing popularity of the Korean food trend in the UK, adding it could be used in Korean-style ramen, kimbap, jjigae (stews), stir fries or added to pasta dishes.
“The versatility of both Spam Chopped Pork & Ham and gochujang creates endless recipe opportunities at any time of day or night,” the brand added.
It is available in Asda stores nationwide this month.
