Coca-Cola European Partners is celebrating the golden anniversary of Appletiser with a series of marketing activities that tie in with the brand’s partnership with Ascot racecourse.
Marking its 50th birthday this month, Appletiser is working with singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and awardwinning cocktail expert Richard Woods.
The project will see Ellis-Bextor modelling styles from the past 50 years of Ascot for an online gallery, while Woods, the self-styled Cocktail Guy, will serve as the ‘Appletiser Alchemist’ to develop original cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks using the brand’s original and Apple & Pomegranate variants. His inventions will be served at sampling events on key race days throughout the season.
The activities are set to be supported by digital and social media campaigns to target consumers watching horseracing in pubs and bars.
“Appletiser is a firm favourite in the UK and continues to see strong growth by providing a choice of flavour variants and premium packaging that appeal to adults when shopping the soft drinks fixture,” said Caroline Cater, CCEP GB operational marketing director.
“Our 50th year is set to be an exciting one, working with both Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Richard Woods. We’re looking forward to continuing to drive awareness of Appletiser as a much-loved brand.”
