What defines good taste? It’s a potentially risky debate for a food or drink brand to start, but 1664 is taking the plunge.

To do so, it’s hired a highly regarded duo. Oscar-winning director Brady Corbet directs actor Robert Pattinson, who plays three Parisian neighbours convinced they have great taste. Minimalist R-Pattz is irritated by the foliage of his bearded dandy upstairs neighbour, who in turn gets on the wick of a moustachioed artist replicant on the opposite balcony by playing disruptive jazz.

Smart editing reveals their favoured reading material, foods and footwear – before one of them pops the top off a bottle of 1664 Blanc. Finally something they can agree on! Even the fourth, creepy version of Pattinson who makes an appearance at the end.

A tasteful mixture of sophistication and silliness, indeed.
