Thorntons is launching its first mainstream chocolate block bars.

Available through the convenience and supermarket channels and Thorntons’ stores from the start of next month, the milk chocolate line comprises two variants, fudge and toffee-flavoured (rsp: £1.59/100g). The launch would “catapult” Thorntons into an exciting new area, said commercial director Phil Sargison.

“We expect strong sales from these products,” he said. Thorntons already produces premium chocolate block bars and no-sugar bars.

The company is supporting the launch with an interactive Too Good To Share? social media push alongside sampling and in-store activity.
