Following its creation of boozy seafood shots last year, The Big Prawn Co is giving two new product areas a fishy twist - ice cream and black pudding.

Working with artisan ice cream manufacturer Lakenham Creamery, the company has developed three seafood-flavoured ice creams - moules marinières, potted shrimp and salmon & beetroot.

It has also created a seafood-based ‘black pudding’ made with squid, chicken and apple and coloured with squid ink instead of blood.

The products were developed for this year’s Seafood Prix d’Elite and The Big Prawn Co hopes the black pudding will launch into major retailers shortly.
