The Grocer first revealed Cadbury’s plans to launch Darkmilk Giant Buttons in September

Cadbury has added a new Crunchy Cocoa Pieces bar and Giant Buttons to its Darkmilk chocolate brand.

Cadbury Darkmilk with Crunchy Cocoa Pieces combines the chocolate with cocoa nibs “for added texture and an intense cocoa hit”, said the brand, and rolls out this month (rsp: £1.50/85g).

Meanwhile Darkmilk Giant Buttons - which The Grocer first revealed in September when the confectionery giant applied to register it as a trademark - will follow in March in 90g and 105g bags (rsp: £1-£1.99).

Cadbury said it was a “proven format” that would tempt older shoppers. Both launches will be backed by TV and out of home advertising.
