SHS Drinks has revealed its new WKD low-calorie range, NKD.
The two-strong line-up will roll into the major retailers from next week in lemon & lime and blueberry & elderflower flavours, marking the RTD brand’s first move into ‘healthier’ drinks (rsp: £1.69/275ml).
Developed to appeal to “discerning” young adults, each bottle contains under 100 calories - less than half the calorie content of a regular WKD.
The duo came with the same 4% abv as the four-strong core range, but featured a lighter taste profile, said marketing director Jo Sykes, who added that the “more natural” appearance had been designed to contrast with WKD’s vibrant colours.
“The launch will play an integral role in our ambition to reinvent RTDs as a destination category for 18 to 24-year-olds,” she said.
