Eat Real has added a trio of multiseed tortilla chips inspired by “cookbook-led flavours”.
Sharing bags in Sea Salt, Birdseye Chilli & Zesty Lime, and Smoky Tomato Salsa will hit Tesco shelves on 13 April, followed by Asda and Morrisons (rsp: £2.75/160g).
The tortilla chips are made from corn, flaxseed, sunflower seeds and quinoa. They are high in fibre, HFSS-compliant, plant-based, gluten-free and free from artificial ingredients.
The sub-range was designed to “elevate the dip-and-share occasion” according to Eat Real supplier Proper Snacks.
“We wanted to create the most dippable chip on the market, while staying true to Eat Real’s heritage of bold flavour inspired by combinations you’d find in real home cooking,” said Sandie Dilger, chief marketing officer at Proper Snacks.
“We looked at what’s on the shelf in tortilla today and thought snackers deserve better – great ingredients, flavour-first recipes and snacks that feel just as at home on a sharing table as they do in the snack aisle.”
It comes after Kettle Chips’ entered the tortilla chip category last week with its three-strong Kettle Tortillas range.
