CBD brand Goodrays has continued to diversify its drinks offer with the launch of an alcohol-free beer range.
Brewed in collaboration with Glasgow-based B Corp Brewgooder, Goodrays’ initial beer lineup comprises 0.0% brews in Golden Lager, Grapefruit Lager and Lemon Lager. They have launched via DTC and in Sainsbury’s stores (rsp: £2.50/330ml).
The beers are infused with a ‘feel-good blend’ of magnesium, lemon balm and vitamin D, but do not contain CBD.
They were designed to offer drinkers “a delicious, guilt-free relaxer that doesn’t compromise on taste or health”, said Goodrays.
“For us, ‘good mood beer’ is an obvious natural extension,” said Goodrays founder Eoin Keenan. “We didn’t launch CBD because it was a trendy ingredient. We started Goodrays because we wanted to help people relax, unwind and find calm. We believe the world needs less stimulation, not more of it.
“For too long, mental wellbeing has been ignored by the drinks industry, dominated by big sugar and big booze. We believe people have the right to a great-tasting relaxing beer, without compromising on health or headspace. We knew none of the big guys would make it, so we did it ourselves.”
The beer range joins Goodrays’ existing lineup of naturally flavoured, low-calorie CBD drinks, gummies, and oils, available online and in over 10,000 UK distribution points, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Selfridges, Morrisons, Ocado and Amazon.
It comes after Goodrays first moved beyond CBD last October, introducing Re:Focus, a functional blend containing lion’s mane, magnesium and electrolytes.
