Pet wellness brand Pooch & Mutt has unveiled Bone Broth, a functional lineup for dogs.
Comprising Health & Digestion and Calm & Relaxed (rsp: £7.99/375ml), the NPD came in response “to growing consumer demand for natural, functional pet products that go beyond basic nutrition”, said Pooch & Mutt. Both variants were “formulated to support hydration, digestion, calmness, and overall wellbeing, delivering added value for health-conscious pet owners.”
Bone broth was “rich in amino acids, essential minerals and naturally occurring collagen”, the brand added. “In dogs, this translates to benefits across joint support, skin and coat health, digestive balance, and immune function, making it an increasingly popular choice for owners seeking multifunctional feeding options.”
Health & Digestion is 97% beef broth with prebiotics to support a healthy gut microbiome. It is fortified with glucosamine and chondroitin for joint health and mobility, as well as being naturally rich in collagen for healthy skin, coat, and connective tissue.
Calm & Relaxed is 97% chicken broth formulated with chamomile and hemp oil to support calm behaviour. It contains L-tryptophan, a key amino acid, plus glucosamine, chondroitin, and collagen for overall vitality.
Both broths are available now from the Pooch & Mutt website. They can be served over food, as a drink, or as a frozen treat. They are free from artificial additives and fillers and are suitable for dogs of all sizes and life stages.
“We’re seeing a sharp shift in how customers approach pet nutrition, with growing interest in human-grade ingredients and functional formats,” said Dr Linda Simon, Pooch & Mutt’s resident vet. “Our new Bone Broth offers an easy, palatable way to support dogs’ physical and emotional wellbeing, while fitting seamlessly into their daily routine.”
The launch comes after Pooch & Mutt announced its acquisition in January of Biome9, a company that provides personalised gut health testing and supplement plans for dogs.
“By leveraging Biome9’s expertise, Pooch & Mutt can now provide more precise, science-driven recommendations tailored to each dog’s unique microbiome,” the brand said at the time. “This will align with its mission to provide pets with what they genuinely need while strengthening the company’s position in the pet nutrition space.”
