Waitrose is launching a limited-edition ‘Noshtalgia’ range inspired by Disney+ series Rivals, as it looks to tap demand for retro flavours with a premium spin.
Rolling into stores and online from 27 April, the eight-strong lineup includes Scotch Egg Sandwich, Thousand Island Prawn Sandwich, Steak Diane Handcooked Crisps and Bloody Mary Prawn Cocktail Flavoured Handcooked Crisps, alongside Rhubarb & Custard Dairy Ice Cream and Peach Melba Dairy Ice Cream.
“The ’80s are back with a fresh twist, and we can only apologise we didn’t launch these decades ago!” said Maddy Wilson, Waitrose director of own brand. “We’re coming together with Disney+ in celebration of the new season of Rivals to deliver the iconic flavours customers crave, reimagined for today.
”The fun and drama lie in the choice – now you can settle your own debate, whether it’s Steak Diane vs Bloody Mary, or Scotch Egg vs Prawn Cocktail. It’s a celebration of pure joy and food that will give every food lover something to talk about.”
The retailer has also added two alcoholic RTD drinks: Peach Melba Spritz and Spicy Pineapple Daiquiri. A limited-edition tote bag is also available as part of the launch.
