Aunt Bessie’s has given its frozen range a premium festive twist with the launch of roast potatoes basted in duck fat.

Rolling out now in time for Christmas (rsp: £2.50/700g), the line had been inspired by top chefs who use duck fat to create “an exceptional crispy texture”, said Heinz, which produces Aunt Bessie’s products under licence.

Volume sales of Aunt Bessie’s frozen potatoes have grown 14.6% year-on-year [Nielsen]. The new line will benefit from the £6.5m earmarked for the brand this year.
