Tax is key to low beer abv

Your coverage of changes in beer strengths shows there is change and innovation in the UK beer market - and that alcohol content can be reduced while ensuring the same taste and quality.

There is no doubt that tax hikes have played their part, but there is also lots of consumer interest in lower-strength products. We need a rebalancing of the whole alcohol tax system, so it does more to encourage lower-strength drinks like beer.
