Tesco St Helens

After carefully considering all the entries submitted to our Christmas #instorespotcompetition, our judges have picked their winner: Tesco St Helens submitted by Jonathan Davies.

This verdict follows a steady stream of submissions on Twitter and via email over the last few weeks, with supermarkets, convenience stores and brands pulling out the stops to deliver eye-catching displays on the shop floor.

Judge Sue McVie, strategic marketing director for Kerry Foods said, “Whilst I suspect that this is the result of a Coke hit squad, we couldn’t deny the impact of the Coke display using little more than some pallet wrapping and a bit of ‘can creativity’ A simple idea really well executed by Tesco St Helens.”

Judge McCurrach CEO Angus MacIver said “The big stand out displays by Coke - with consistent execution across all formats - meant that nothing else really comes close this year. Very impressive.”

Savvy chief exec and fellow judge Catherine Shuttleworth said, “It was great to see so many entries for this competition and for 2017 a great win for Tesco St Helens with their impactful display. Outside of the Coke efforts, we were impressed and pleased to see stores displaying clear pricing as well as their creativity. As special mention must also go to Londis Congleton for their mince pie Christmas tree efforts.”
