Simon Mowbray Mars is aiming to crack open a bigger share of next year's Easter egg market by introducing 10 new products and revamping 11 of its existing favourites. Among those debuting in the Spring will be an adult Maltesers Crispy Egg and Bounty Miniatures Coconut Egg. Both weigh just over 180g and will have rsps of £3.99 each, featuring chocolate shells sprinkled with honeycomb pieces or coconut flakes. Among other innovations, the confectioner is to put Galaxy into the solid mini eggs sector for the first time (99p, 100g bag), while an M&M's Minis Decorate Your Own Egg (£3.29, 154g) includes an icing pen for young chocolate lovers to be creative before they sample the goods. Another M&M's innovations  Minis Burster Egg (£3.99, 225g)  helps make up the range, while a single Harry Potter egg (£3.99, 199g) also got its first official outing as Mars launched its entire Easter range in London last week. However, the latter will not be news to regular readers of these pages, despite Mars' best efforts to keep the egg under wraps. We unveiled the confectionery giant's Easter plans for its multi-million pound licensing deal with the schoolboy wizard on September 22. {{P&P }}
