Iced/Hot Lattes will launch in two flavours: Salted Caramel and Vanilla

Kenco has added a range of instant flavoured lattes that can be served hot or cold.

Iced/Hot Lattes has launched with two flavours: Salted Caramel and Vanilla (rsp: £2.59/162g).

Consumers simply add cold or hot water to the drink, “enabling them to personalise their coffee experience”, said the brand.

This flexibility would appeal to today’s consumers, with four out of five indicating they would buy Kenco Iced/Hot Lattes all year round, claimed the brand.

The versatility of the offering would allow retailers to maximise rate of sale throughout the year, it added.

They have rolled into Morrisons.

Consumers were “increasingly looking for iced or hot coffee solutions they can enjoy at home”, said Jacobs Douwe Egberts category lead Paul Fallon.

The Iced/Hot Lattes were “an enticing innovation” that not only allowed “the customisation consumers are looking for, but the quality”, he added.

“These lattes extend consumption occasions for coffee, giving retailers products with maximum year-round rate of sale opportunity, driving category growth,” said Fallon.

It comes after the JDE brand saw value sales of its instant coffee SKUs dip by 6.2% to £147.6m in the 52 weeks until 11 September 2021 [NielsenIQ].
