From crisps and confectionery to popcorn and plant-based, The Grocer’s Instagram features the most exciting launches coming to UK supermarkets before they land on shelves. Here are the top 10 products that had our followers double-tapping this year

Propercorn claimed a UK first in October with its palm oil-free microwaveable popcorn, which launched in Sweet, Salted and Cinnamon flavours. Given the current hype around palm oil (catapulted into the mainstream by Iceland’s banned Christmas ad) it’s not surprising this product made our most-loved list.

4. Walkers Christmas Crisps

As can be expected, the ‘first ever’ Brussels sprout crisps from Walkers sparked some controversy on this post. ‘They have gone too far’, said one commenter, while another asked, ‘is it wrong we really want to try these?’ Sprouts aside, the other (less contentious) festive flavours included Pigs in Blankets and Turkey & Stuffing (swipe the picture below to see them).
