Co-op Wholesale is expanding its presence into the UK forecourt sector with a new multi-year partnership with Tankerford.
The tie-up will see Co-op Wholesale become the primary supply partner for Tankerford’s 11 forecourt convenience stores.
Following a supply trial at Tankerford’s Ardleigh Village Service Station in August 2024, Co-op Wholesale will now be rolling out a range of food-to-go and grocery products across its estate, including own label.
Tankerford said the new partnership would enhance its offer and bring a focus on “modern, customer-centric retail environments”.
The majority of the stores will convert to Tankerford’s independent fascia, Refuel Market. Two sites are currently branded Nisa.
Tankerford had previous arrangements with Spar, Budgens and Londis.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to quality and convenience on the go,” said Co-op Wholesale business development and growth director Ian King.
“Tankerford has built a reputation for innovation and customer service in the forecourt space, and we’re proud to support their growth with our trusted product range and supply expertise.”
Tankerford retail sales director Jamie Wheeler said: “This collaboration allows us to continue to expand our Refuel Market brand, which delivers the quality and consistency that today’s forecourt shoppers expect, combining market-leading customer service, value and promotions.”
