Gü has unveiled a new fruit crème range, designed to tap into growing demand for “indulgent, fruit-led desserts” ahead of the summer season.
Fruit Crème is to roll out in three flavour combinations: Lemon & Yuzu, Raspberry & Strawberry, and Mango & Passionfruit (rsp: £3.95/two-pack). Each dessert is made with double cream, delivering what the brand describes as a “smooth, indulgent texture alongside bold, fruit-forward flavours”.
Lemon & Yuzu pairs “Spanish lemon cream with aromatic Japanese yuzu”, while Raspberry & Strawberry combines a “smooth raspberry cream with a rich berry compote”, according to the brand. Mango & Passionfruit features “silky crème and chunky mango compote”.
The brand is also expanding its cheesecake range with a White Chocolate & Raspberry flavour (rsp: £3.95/two-pack). The dessert combines a golden biscuit base with raspberry compote, creamy mascarpone and white chocolate, with bronzed sugar sprinkles on top.
The NPD is the latest addition to Gü’s cheesecake range, joining the recently launched Salted Pistachio variant.
Both the Fruit Crème range and the White Chocolate & Raspberry variant are rolling out in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Morrisons from this month.
“With the Fruit Crèmes range, we wanted to find ingredients that really excite the senses and explore flavour combinations that feel fresh and distinctive,” said Fred Ponnavoy, master pâtissier at Gü.
